The short version
- Fox Care supplies verified workers, who remain Fox Care’s employees.
- The full cost is shown before you post, and fixed at that moment.

- Induct, supervise and keep workers within their scope of practice.
- A placement fee applies if you engage a worker directly within 6 months.
A summary to help you find your way. The full terms below are what apply.
1. What Fox Care provides
Fox Care supplies qualified nurses and care workers, who are Fox Care's casual employees, for the shifts you post. We check each worker's registration, screening checks and work entitlement before approving them, and stop matching them if a required document lapses.
You remain responsible for your obligations as an operator: inducting and supervising workers, and satisfying yourself that a worker is suitable for a particular placement.
2. Posting shifts
You can advertise a shift to every matching worker within travelling distance, or offer it to workers you choose. The full cost is shown before you post and is fixed at that moment. A shift is filled when a worker accepts it, and you are told straight away.
3. Your obligations
- Provide a safe workplace and meet your work health and safety duties.
- Induct each worker into your site, including emergency procedures, before they start.
- Supervise appropriately for the worker's role, and never ask them to work beyond their scope of practice.
- Meet any staffing ratios and care-minute requirements that apply to you.
- Approve or query hours promptly — at the latest within 7 days of their being submitted.
- Tell Fox Care immediately about any incident, injury, complaint or concern involving a Fox Care worker.
- Keep worker information confidential and use it only to manage the shift.
4. Charges and payment
You are charged the rate shown when the shift was posted, applied to the approved hours, plus GST. Fox Care issues one tax invoice a week, in arrears, covering the hours approved that week. Invoices are payable within 7 days of their date.
If an invoice is overdue, we may pause your ability to post new shifts until it is paid, and recover reasonable costs of collection.
5. Hours you disagree with
If the hours a worker submits are not right, suggest the correct hours in the app or raise a query instead of approving them. Fox Care settles any query that the two sides cannot agree, taking into account both accounts and any site records, and the hours we settle on are what is invoiced and paid.
6. Cancellation
The Cancellation Policy applies. Cancelling inside the notice window attracts a charge, because the worker has turned down other work to keep the shift.
7. Engaging workers directly
Fox Care invests in finding, checking and paying the workers it introduces. If, within 6 months of a worker's last shift with you through Fox Care, you engage that worker directly or through another agency, you agree to pay Fox Care a placement fee. We will tell you the fee on request, before you make the offer.
8. Liability and insurance
You must hold public liability insurance covering your premises and the services you provide. Fox Care holds workers' compensation insurance for its workers.
Each party is responsible for loss caused by its own negligence or breach. Fox Care's liability to you is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.
9. Term and ending the agreement
This agreement continues while your organisation has an account. Either party may end it with 30 days' written notice. Shifts already booked are honoured, and amounts owing remain payable.
